It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Fergal McGrath, on June 20th, 2025. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the many colleagues who, like us, had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
Known to all simply as Ferg, he was not only a highly respected editor, but also a cherished friend within our TEMPO community. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
An active member of British Film Editors (BFE), Ferg was a passionate advocate for TEMPO and a firm believer in the power of global collaboration among editors. His commitment to inclusion and equality was unwavering, and he played a vital role in supporting the career development of countless graduates, junior assistants, and fellow editors.
