Join us for an online panel discussion exploring “AI Tools in editing”, featuring editors and assistant editors who are actively using AI in their workflows today.

What will be discussed? 

This panel will focus on AI tools that are currently available and being used in real-world editing environments. Our panelists will share their hands-on experiences—what works, what doesn’t, what can be achieved and where AI tools fall short. From practical applications to critical limitations, industry response and controvercies. This session is designed to give you an honest, editor-led view of where AI fits into modern post-production.

Shane Woods (ISE/BFE) Moderator


Shane Woods (ISE/BFE) Moderator. An Assistant Editor based in London, Shane has worked across film and television in the UK and Ireland, with credits including The Apprentice, The Crown, and Peaky Blinders. He also writes Out of Sync, a newsletter focused on practical technology and workflow efficiency for post-production professionals.

Luca Castelo (EDA)

Luca Castelo (EDA). Born in Argentina and based in Mexico, Luca is a film editor and director with a strong passion for cinema and storytelling. He has edited five feature films and directed his own feature, Portraits of the Apocalypse, as well as three short films. In addition to his work in film, Luca has edited large-scale advertising campaigns for major brands such as Netflix, Nestlé, and Toyota.

Dávid Jancsó (ACE)
Dávid Jancsó (ACE). Dávid Jancsó is an Oscar Nominated film editor whose work spans Hungarian and international cinema. His acclaimed credits include Pieces of a Woman (2020), Monkey Man (2024), and The Brutalist (2024). A member of the American, European and Hungarian Film Academies, Jancsó was honoured with the Junior Prima Prize in 2010 and numerous film editing awards for his work on The Brutalist. With a background in communications, law, and film editing, he brings a unique perspective to storytelling on screen, shaping some of today’s most powerful films.

Giovanni Pompetti (AMC)
Giovanni Pompetti (AMC). 
Based between New York and Rome, Giovanni is a film editor and VFX artist with credits across HBO, Netflix, and VICE. A co-founder of Wrong Way Pictures, he now specializes in integrating AI tools into editing and visual effects workflows, advancing the creative possibilities of post-production.
