Through LMA – Les Monteurs Associés, we are pleased to share this upcoming event with the TEMPO network.

Organized by the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in collaboration with La Fémis, IUF and Associé PSL, this international conference brings together film editors, scholars, and artists to explore the complex intersections between film editing and artificial intelligence. 

Over three days, participants will examine how generative technologies are transforming the aesthetics, theory, and practice of montage – from narrative editing to algorithmic analysis and posthuman cinema.

The program features speakers from institutions including Harvard, University of Zurich, University of Melbourne, and La Fémis, along with screenings and discussions with practicing editors and artists.

The event is open to all those interested.
